◆About Furusato-no Matsuri Festival
In Fukushima Prefecture, the "Fukushima Meeting of the Folk-Performing Arts National Convention (nicknamed Furusato-no Matsuri Festival)" was held in 2012 after the Great East Japan Earthquake. The significance of the meeting, which greatly impressed and gave courage to the people of the Prefecture, is being passed down. Since 2013, the prefectural version of the “Furusato-no Matsuri” has been held for the purpose of revitalizing people’s hearts and minds from the disaster.
Every year, the performances are shown on stage, but in 2020, they were recorded and shared online to prevent the spread of infections.
