Collaboration with "Yumedayori," the Fukushima Prefectural PR magazine!
The magazine is also available online -- https://www.pref.fukushima.lg.jp/sec/01010d/koho-guide.html
This project to make a boy's dream come true began as the result of a letter
received by the Fukushima Prefectural PR magazine.
To make a "dream robot" come true for 10-year-old Hikaru of Fukushima City,
a major project was launched spanning a total of five months.
An all-out effort was made to make the boy's dream come true,
with the help of the prestigious Computer Department of Kohriyama-kita Technical High School,
which won an award in the International Contest of Applications in Nano/Micro Technologies,
and the Prime Minister's Award among others.
Moreover, Fukushima prefecture has adopted the slogan,
"Fukushima, the land of the robot industry revolution," to implement a variety of initiatives to promote,
spread and support the industry in robots for use in disasters, medicine and nursing.
Efforts are also being made to foster human resources for the future,
such as the people of the Computer Department at the high school,
with the aim of establishing a "Fukushima Robot Valley."
