The first (?) short animation movie in the world of folk toys, presented by toys representing Fukushima, such as the "akabeko" and "tsuchiyu kokeshi doll."
* This movie is fictional. Please note when buying the folk toys that they do not actually talk.
[Introducing the Characters]
"Akabeko (Red Cow)"
One of the representative folk toys of Fukushima Prefecture from Fukuman Kokuzoson Enzo Temple in Yanaizu of Aizu. The red body wards off evil spirits.
He is a completely passive beta male, but he enjoys drinking.
The "beko" is available in a variety of forms now, and they have become stylish.
"Shirakawa Daruma"
Shirakawa Daruma is a lucky charm made by the lord of Shirakawa Castle, Matsudaira Sadanoburakuoko, about 300 years ago, to ensure the prosperity of the lands around his castle. In Shirakawa, the daruma's city of origin, the "Shirakawa Daruma Market" is held every year on February 11.
Daruma is a die-hard fan of saké from Fukushima. It's the only kind he drinks. Daruma especially likes the dry taste of Tanrei Kurakuchi.
"Kokeshi Mama (a Tsuchiyu Kokeshi Doll)"
She is the proprietress of Barroom Kokeshi. She is a kokeshi doll from Tsuchiyu Onsen, a hot spring resort in Fukushima City. She doesn't talk much, and is enshrouded in mystery, but she is well-known among the folk toys as the proprietress of the bar.
Kokeshi dolls are apparently becoming increasingly popular overseas, but how she feels about this remains a mystery.
